Warranty & testing

The facts, laid out plainly. Download the documents and read every line — that's what they're for.

Three warranties, not one

CoverageTerm
Structural body warranty5 years / 100,000 miles — included on every bus
General warranty3 years / 36,000 miles
PerformMAX 500 subfloor7 years — the longest floor coverage in the shuttle bus market

Every bus also ships with a complete owner's manual and a bus-specific maintenance plan — so the owner knows exactly how to care for it and keep it covered. It's a level of documentation most shuttle buyers never get.

Altoona: tested on the current standard

The federal Altoona program's current 7-year/200,000-mile test publishes every repair and every maintenance hour — not just a pass/fail. The HLE MAVRYK passed with an 82.6 aggregate score: 100% Reliability, 98% Safety, 97% Structural Integrity — and 53.81 hours of unscheduled maintenance against a 125-hour allowance. The STRYKR is in testing now, and the KAVLYR is being built for the Altoona test track.

The bus we tested was the fourth bus HLE ever built — and we used what the test surfaced to make today's bus stronger: radiused corners with heavier braces, a single-piece welded heat shield, a 360°-welded ADA door with added backers, reinforced electrical-panel mounting, and cab-to-body support straps. We tested it. Then we made it better.

Every bus, before delivery

Rain booth: 300 gallons a minute for 25 minutes with a person inside hunting leaks. Straight into a 25-mile road test — hard braking, hard acceleration. Then a final inspection packet signed off by every department. FMVSS compliant. ISO certification in progress.

Who runs HLE buses

HLE holds state transit contracts with WSDOT (Washington), Oregon, and Minnesota.
